These materials were part of a national reading program. The Flipchart below is for Kindergarten. This cover received a first-place award at the New York Book Show for schoolbook design. These designs involved working with a team of editors and marketing people to create a large, nationwide reading program. There was a lot of planning involved in order to create an effective design for teaching reading. Illustration needed to be comped, chosen, and bought. A main feature of this project was the design of the hierarchy of the content. Icons structured various parts of the workbooks. I was responsible for schedules and budgets as well as overseeing the design of the various components. I was a Design Manager on the Kindergarten and Pre-K parts of this program for 3 and a half years.
